Who We Are
We are dream builders.

Steve Schmidt started Schmidt Industries, Inc. in 1996 with the help of his brother, Mick Schmidt, a single trailer, and a commitment to impress builders and homeowners with their residential wood framing.

Schmidt Industries, Inc. is located in Clear Lake, Minnesota, serving the Twin Cities Metro and Central Minnesota.

Over the years, the company has grown to include multiple crews, each led by a highly experienced foreman and staffed by hand-picked carpenters. Each crew specializes in different types of residential homes, from simple starter home floor plans to elaborate custom-designed luxury homes. All-in-all, we’ve framed more than 3,000 homes and buildings since 1996.

Our entire crew operates like one large family, and when you hire us you join that family. We take care of each other, and we take care of the builder and homeowner. We want our crew members to grow in skill and knowledge every day.

Our highly-experienced team works hard to bring your dreams to life! We reward our employees well and treat them like family, which means we are able to frame residential and commercial construction projects better than any of our competitors.
